COMMITTEES

Member committees in Region 6 are run by and for UAW Region 6 members to enable workers to take action on important issues on and off the shop floor.

All are open to all UAW members and workers on active organizing drives in Region 6.

  • Gender, Civil, & Human Rights

    The Region 6 Gender, Civil, & Human Rights Committee (R6 GCHRC) works to use our power as organized labor to fight for racial justice, voting rights, gender equity, LGBTQIA equity, immigrant rights, accessible workplaces, and the rights of all workers. We meet monthly via zoom on the second Monday at 6pm Pacific.

  • Education & Communications

    The Region 6 Education & Communications Committee (ECC) works to increase member participation by building education & communication programs that support leadership development, build transparency, grow skills & analysis, and more. ECC meets monthly via zoom on the third Friday from 12-1pm Pacific. Check out the Member Education page for more.

  • Climate Justice

    The Region 6 Climate Justice Committee organizes to build and exert our power as workers to fight for climate justice through the contracts we bargain, helping ensure jobs in the green economy are good union jobs, climate change education, and political action! We meet via zoom on the last Tuesday of each month at 6pm Pacific.

    The Region 6 Political Action Committee (Western States CAP/PAC) meets monthly to discuss, strategize, and coordinate work to build political power that helps advance our goals in organizing, bargaining, and winning a just and sustainable society for all.
